KIRKUS REVIEW

The author of the favorite Katrina Van Ost and The Silver Rose tells a delightful story of New Netherlands, at the time of the gradually encroaching English, and of the first difficulties with the Indians, up to then friendly. A good story, with a girl as the central figure.
