The author of The Three-In-One Prince (1961, p. 102, J-70), a comical fairy le, ere sketches a comparatively dull picture of a Shetland pony and his proud eight-year old owner, Beth. In less than a year, Beth outgrows her low-slung pet, but gallantly refuses to give him up. Presented with a cart by her father, Beth is triumphant in a harness class race at the fair. A slight story with a nearly nonexistent climax, it will interest only the most delicate.
