CHRISTY FINDS A RIDER

Christy, the undersized Shetland that Beth Ritchie quickly outgrew in The Pony That Didn't Grow (1963), turns out to be just the right size for Beth's tiny new neighbor Tina Chandler. Beth considers Tina too young and a pest, but does agree to help the girl learn to ride Christy, and finally yields to prodding and gives up her pet to the girl. An almost totally uneventful book--of all the pony stories this season this is probably the runt of the litter.
