KIRKUS REVIEW

When a young Texan first sees snow while staying in the northwoods, it is an exciting event--for him. While Jamie's reactions may provoke identification in the South, Northerners will find the slight story uninteresting. The pictures are satisfactory, but not unusual. For younger readers in this age group--mainly those below the Mason-Dixon line.
