THIS CAT CAME TO STAY!

Solid six year old adventures by the author of Donny and Company and Sea View Secret, make excellent tooth-cutting material for first readers who might easily find themselves in the same predicament as Patsy and William, the children in this book. They are neighbors while Patsy is staying with her Aunt Geneva, next door to William's family. One day the kids find a nice grey cat, but none of their elders is willing to keep her, especially when she arrived with kittens. Patsy and William try all sorts of solutions and the right one turns up with the organ grinder who had once owned the gray cat and who is asked to stay on as gardener for William's family. Don Sibley's drawings have a catchy friendliness and some striking perspectives.
