MOGUL FINDS A FRIEND

An addition to a series of Easy-to-Read-Photo stories, this describes the plight of Mogul, a baby elephant who arrives at Lincoln Park Zoo in Chicago determined to find a friend among the animals. None of the inmates is a truly satisfactory companion until a female member of his species arrives on the scene to make the perfect friend. Carol an Marlin Perkins have taken some pleasant pictures of camels, poler bears, and elephants, but the contrived elephants in the text, despite a superficial basis in reality, detract somewhat from the fundamental animal qualities.
