Park Avenue prettification for the table, largely decorative (flowers, linens, color) with ideas for various very festive meals,- teas, cocktail parties, specialty dinners, brunches, bridges, etc. How to toss off a little smorgasbord (no recipes given) or how to make your pet draftee feel at home with khaki table linen. Upkeep of silver and linen, (you know that dull day when there's no bridge on schedule?). This reads like a book intended for the leisure classes who are accustomed to half a dozen maids and are reduced to none (but manage to 'borrow' one when occasion demands). Fancy froufrou, which can't be done on nothing.
