THE STORY OF PORKY PEEK

In this slight animal fable, the author creates a story through which she justifies the appearance of the porcupine in the emblem of the King of France. Porky Peek runs back and forth, trying to find someone who will help a little girl down from a tree. This brief tale is not clever nor intriguing enough to hold the attention of young children. The bland illustrations do not give the book any charm or much needed vitality.
