KIRKUS REVIEW

Excellent factual book about fighting planes planned for under twelve. There have been picture books for this age group, but the text of most of the factual books has been a bit beyond them. This text is excellent -- definitive enough, factual enough, and colored with occasional true story material. The material is divided into army-air, navy air, types of planes, miscellaneous data on training, on carriers, on gliders, on parachutes. Good photographs.
