KIRKUS REVIEW

Recover, restore, and recycle. Musheno offers serviceable ideas and step-by-step instructions for decorating or redecorating, from trimming a shade for window dressing to sewing slipcovers and doing simple reupholstery. The projects tend toward the fussy--flounces and dust ruffles--but the basics are provided: factors in fabric selection, a bit on color combinations, the importance of careful estimating before purchasing materials. And many tips will inspire confidence: if recovering a set of chairs, measure each separately--small variations will make a difference in how the fabric is cut.
