This is a darling story, but the dialect would make it very difficult reading for children unaccustomed to it. Perhaps it should be listed under Read Aloud books. A darky story of the deep south, and of three little girls who wanted parasols even at the cost of some of their tomboyishness, but that $1.50 was hard come by. This is the story of how the whole family pitched in to help. Superstitions, way of thought and speech- authentic material and an amusing story.
