THUS DOCTOR MALLORY

By

Publisher: Dodd, Mead

Young Doctor Galahad did well, and this follows through, with rentals still outweighing sales possibilities, but a general average of quality well above the usual men-in-white stuff. There's no prettifying of the obstacles on route, as idealistic Jim Mallory tilts at windmills. He has struggles to get his schooling, he manages to work his way through medical school, he finds that his sister (adopted into the wealthy side of the family in St. Louis) turns up her nose at him and interferes in his love affair. But eventually the tangles are eliminated, and Dr. John does a good job of medicine without compromise.
