FOUR DOCTORS, FOUR WIVES

The busy lives of four friends and wives of doctors in a small clinic -- making apple pies or doughnuts, attending to altar duties or the cub den, handling family problems. Mostly Hazel's -- she has no sprout of her own and finds that Nan's third pregnancy should be stopped; she also thinks of adopting a difficult boy until she finds that she's pregnant at 42 and almost hasn't the face or the grace to go through with it. As always, just like soap and water only much cleaner.
