Crisp British fantasy, done to a turn, in this out-of-the-ordinary tale about a little girl's strange dream adventures with a dragon family and St. George. When Horace, the small dragon, first invited Miriam to tea, she was somewhat puzzled, but, after an introduction to the odd world at the other side of the river, she did not find it too eery to be having tea with Mrs. Dragon, and even setting out with Horace and Mr. Griffin to find St. George who was keeping Horace's father imprisoned under the mistaken impression that he was the bad sort of Dragon. All ends well, as St. George kills the bad dragon, releasing the good dragon for ever.
