KIRKUS REVIEW

Through her newspaper man friend, Peter, stage struck Polly Roberts offered summer work at a stock theatre in Maine. Her efforts early in the reason are encouraged, but although Polly gets two good parts, through the chicanery of actor-director Mason, she appears to be a failure. Peter, who has written a play, unmasks Mason's duplicity and salvages his own play for Broadway production.
