PERSONALITY PREFERRED

Not as all round a book as the Pierce one, but spans the gap between straight etiquette books and the ultra sophistication of No Nice Girl Swears. This text has a bit more dash. The emphasis is on problems of behavior from the angle of personality and character, rather than simply etiquette. Some practical information as to hows and whys (invitations, answers, etc.) -- but not enough. A good deal of space given to party games -- a distinct asset. The author runs the sub deb page in the Ladies' Home Journal -- and has tappe her experience here.
