KIRKUS REVIEW

Twenty-two sociologists, theologians, physicians, philosophers and anthropologists have been gathered together to present their views on the changing American scene and how it has affected and will affect our youth. The papers are grouped under three sections. I. for Survival and Growth which in general deals with the problems emotional and physical awaiting young Americans in the Age of Automation as well as the challenges the future will bring. II. ads of Concern an examination of existing and continuing problems such as integration and juvenile delinquency. III. and sociologists, college presidents and theologians here present problems and panaceas. As in all compilations of this sort there is an unevenness caused by variation of style and in some cases the sources of original publication. Nevertheless, there is here much material that is of importance to anyone, lay or professional, who works with young people.
