Ellery, on his way back from California in 1944, meets a patriarchal figure the desert who introduces him to his religious (a kind of Essene Sect) community in a hidden valley. But the Kingdom is anything but Peaceable when the Storeman murdered and there is evidence that someone has coveted their cache of silver dollars (minted in 1873). Ellery's initial inquiries lead to a latterday revelation, silenced in the interests of the whole ""Crownsil"".... A Mystery/Miracle Play which will be published appropriately on Good Friday, and EQ's followers will be among the Truest Believers.
