HUGGER-MUGGER IN THE LOUVRE

Once again it seems to us that Elliot Paul substitutes confusion for action, borrows from all mystery writers, and manufactures screw balliana rather painfully. There are so many that think this guy is good, so better not trust us implicitly, but we did not like The Mysterious Mickey Finn and we don't think much of this. There's Homer Evans and his crew once more -- Paris and its suburbs -- there's theft of a masterpiece, a murder, and lots of oddly linked characters.
