WOODSMOKE by Ellsworth Jaeger

WOODSMOKE

By

Publisher: Macmillan

Sixth in this author's outdoor books, this concentrates on trail lore and skills, crafts and tricks for wilderness living. With a section devoted to Indian customs and ways, describing many of their medicines, hunting and living habits, it goes on to procedures with fire, ax and saw, the construction of shelters and the preparation of camp food and safety first information. There is plenty of good advice for the novice and enough brush-up pointers for the experienced. The hints about training at home for short and long trips make this useful there as well as on library and camp shelves.
