COUNTDOWN FOR CINDY

Not just a story about nurses, this tale describes a new breed, the space-traveling, specially trained, physically perfect, and courageous nurse of the not-too-distant future. Cindy, a member of the Aerospace Force Nurse Corps, is the first woman to go on a mercy mission to the moon to assist in bringing back to earth three injured astronauts. How she withstands the rigors of space travel and life on the moon will determine the future acceptance and participation of her sister nurses in a heretofore man's world of achievement. Details of space travel and life on the moon are interestingly presented and overshadow a mild love story. Vocabulary is difficult but the story should hold high vocational appeal for the young lady contemplating a nursing career.
