This is tremendously entertaining -- a delightfully informal biography of an actor husband by an actress wife. She knows both sides -- and gives them both play. She tells of his background, she sketches their life together (off stage and on), she follows the trail from London to Hollywood and back. The book is crammed with anecdotes of the great and near great, with odd bits of personal experience, with the glamour and realism of the screen star's life. She can write as well as act; she has real perception, humor and sympathy. It is a good rental library item, and should have a substantial sale with those interested in stage personalities as well.
