The inn of this name (near Brandon, Vt.) and the first book written about it- The blueberry Hill Cookbook (1959) won a permanent place for themselves. This adds 800 original recipes, round the year menus, two for each month, and a miscellany of useful ideas for any harried housewife. The style- as before- is conversational, even to instructions accompanying the list of ingredients in recipes. But it is also strictly functional in regard to quantity served and time required. Indoor and outdoor cooking, a variety of parties, and- perhaps best of all- use of leftovers in appetizing ways, plus, of course, the specialty, blueberry recipes, provide a cookbook which all who loved the first one will want. Since this adds up to over 20,000 copies- here's a book you'll need.
