Pretty dull story with a lot of good factual material and an unusual approach to the Revolutionary War. A 15-year old boy manages to get into action, is wounded at Bunker Hill, but serves with the rebel forces here, there and everywhere -- the New York campaign, the Battle of the Brandywine, etc. Shows inadequacies of organization, of equipment, of training -- but the spirit that carried on. The mixture of romance and adventure and history is somewhat helter skelter and loosely knit.
