You haven't got much when you have finished this, but while you are reading it you are having a good time, -- that's the sort of book it is. The idea isn't new, that of a college professor and showgirl romance, this time a famed ornithologist and a night-club, musical comedy singer who meet, love, argue, disagree, and finally marry. She accompanies him to Central America on an eagle hunting expedition, strikes a discordant note in the party, saves his life after he has killed a man for her. Trouble continues, she goes back to the stage, he-with time to spare-has woman trouble, and after he goes to Mexico and almost loses his life, they are reunited. Doesn't seem awfully different, but you'll like Liz and Rodney and their romantic obstacle race. Good dialogue, with situations not too forced, for a love-is-all motif.
