DEFENDER OF DEMOCRACY

Three years ago Ludwig wrote Talks with hussolini. Now he is giving us a similar book on Masaryk, similar only in that it is based on a succession of conversations on various subjects close to Easaryk's interests, and his own. The first part of the book is a brief biographical sketch; the last half actual reports of the conversations, in which Masaryk reveals himself as the statesman, humanitarian, diplomat, and philosopher that years have proved him. The recent retirement of Masaryk has quickened interest in the man himself. The Ludwig name should make this easy selling.
