KIRKUS REVIEW

There is nothing new in this group of loosely-joined stories of elves, a beetle that talks and a beautiful young girl, Shathula, who marries a handsome prince. This dated whimsy and the ""wee folk"" type of story is entirely too prissy for the age for which it was written.
