KIRKUS REVIEW

A very long way around with a lot of running interference for the story of the proxy marriage- by written contract- of Cindy Clinton to Ken Stewart, to facilitate the settlement of their fathers' oil partnership. With Cindy's decision to annual the marriage to the man she had never seen, she meets Bill Damon, representing Ken's interests, confides in him when she finds a cache of jewels in her house, falls love with him, and loses face when she discovers that his real identity is that of her former husband. But with the running down of some smugglers and the danger she confronts, she forgets her private peeve and admits her love for him.... The talkative type, this is harmless if not always painless.
