KIRKUS REVIEW

An Ojibway legend lightly retold and delightfully illustrated with black drawings and dashes of color by Dick Mackay, tells how the sun was retrieved after Big Bear had taken it for his son. During the winter the sun is absent from the sky. Then the Indians dress Crow in a fancy coat, to visit the bears and by impressing them, steal the sun away again. Told with humor.
