THE LORD IS OUR HEALER

It is when we want God more than our physical cure that we are most likely to receive bodily healing"", writes Emily Gardiner Neal, and though ""God wills our wholeness"" we know that ""we cannot achieve perfect wholeness until we enter the kingdom."" In 1958 Mrs. Neal wrote A Reporter Finds God Through Spiritual Healing. The Lord is Our Healer is the moving and convincing testimony of one who has grown stronger in the faith with each passing year as she seeks to make the joyful re-discovery of God's healing power available to others. She writes on the context of theological validity and scientific reliability. So moving and direct is her narrative of her own spiritual growth and that of others, that the reader receives a new awareness of the meaning of the presence of God, and the peace that comes to those who come to want God first and most of all. Convinced that God never wills disease and suffering for anyone, she tells of many who have learned how to use the suffering from which they may not be released so that they may find the spiritual health which is their soul's greatest reward as they come into the presence of God. Yet the book abounds with stories of physical restoration to health which the world calls miraculous, not reckoning with the power of God. Almost anyone will be helped by this book; it speaks with assurance and knowledge about human life in God's world which only God himself can give to those of great faith who have known and found him in prayer.
