Although Emma Brock's name is good for a substantial sale, I do not feel that this rather studiedly simple little story of how one little girl, and the omnipresent twins, celebrated Midsummer eve and Midsummer day, will enhance her reputation. Frankly, I found it dull; there are many stories of the locale that give more vividly a sense of the background and customs. And the plot is negligible, the humor obvious. Emma Brock can tell a better story than this.
