ADD A PINCH OF CYANIDE

Two nieces or rather their husbands (one in serious business difficulties -- the other with a dowdy wife and restive mistress) are waiting for an ""old girl to snuff it"" so one does not anticipate that one of them will die suddenly on an outing. This is well tenanted with family, acquaintances, and even the household help and it relies on people, rather than casualties, to keep redirecting your suspicions forward, backward, and sometimes sideways. Not really classic, but traditional in the mode past-mistressed by Ngaio Marsh or Agatha Christie, and all very solidly fashioned.
