THE ASTONISHING LETTER

It was one of Reginald's practical jokes that resulted in the Ackroyd family taking a year off to find out which one of their nice but ordinary children might be considered a genius. And it was quite a relief to all of them to learn that they didn't have to go on trying any more -- but that they could pursue the mystery of the cave and be nice children in their own way. Not important but pleasant.
