HI FELLA

The heartwarming adventures of a timorous pup lost in the wild proceed relentlessly through the inevitable encounters with a skunk, a garbage-canny raccoon, the Big Storm, and the man with a gun. Zistel is also partial to coy guessing-games of animal identity: ""Here other strange animals lived, in houses of roots and sticks that rose right out of the water."" At last there's a new home in a safe barn for this notably helpless animal. Maybe now he'll quit having those wincingly anthropomorphic dreams.
