...was Edward Sheldon whose career as a playwright skyrocketed early and whose life as an invalid, crippled and blind, brought him a world of loving and loyal friendships. Fostered by his mother and brought closer by Harvard, his love for the theatre led to acting parts and to plays produced, and when illness came, the following he had won was anxious to keep him company, interested and amused. He in turn was able to comfort and encourage others and never let his illness have a dampening effect.
