Astral porn from Britain, tacky as sin, but more grippingly spun out than most examples of the genre. This is the story of the Apart, an other-dimensional race of amoral superbeings who slip into humans to enjoy sexual orgies and murder sprees but then depart, leaving some of their human hosts with the wish to return with the Apart and spend eternity in the expanded consciousness of these spirit-monsters. The hero here is Andrew Jarvis, a young veterinarian who stops to help lovely Bianca Hallam (her fancy car has broken down in the country) and then watches as Bianca slips away, strips naked, and surrenders herself to demonic rape. Andrew is nearly killed by Bianca's demon lover, but then he himself becomes her sex slave and meets her circle: Gilbert, a composer with a huge body tattoo who can produce music from the beyond when he's invaded; Branwen, a lesser member of the Apart who envies Bianca's powers and covets Andrew; Bianca's middle-aged husband Edwin, who was first invaded by the Apart when he killed Oriental civilians in World War II; and Bianca's servant Braddock, who has attempted to become one of the Apart by fathering the child of his own teenage daughter Mandy (whose seduction of Andrew results in Braddock's' death). Flying blood, whippings in a cellar, slouching invisibles, and endless orgasms--erotic, Satanic balderdash that will nonetheless absorb those with a weakness for porno-deviltry.
