Mysteries of natural history such as sea serpents are here too, with dissertations on psychic phenomena -the mysterious footprints throughout Devon, the moving coffins in Barbados. Some deal with strange personalities such as the Kasper Hauser case. Wonderful material here; but in some cases Eric Russell has deadened the interest by underplaying the melodrama.
