THE CAPTAIN NEEDS A MATE

Trying to make the screwballiana grade -- but mostly flatting it en route. He did one very amusing yarn; most of its successors have been disappointments. This is a pretty silly story of a man, divorced, unloved, unloving, high and dry without a job. As a gag, more or less, he is hired as captain of his ex-wife's yacht, now in other hands, and on the way to Cannes, the crew and guests, -- professional loafers, and adventurers, take it over as a cooperative venture, and make a go of it. There's a romance on the side, of course.
