ABC BOOK OF EARLY AMERICANA: A Sketchbook of Antiquities and American Firsts

Many of the curious details and definitions of objects connected with early American life are fascinating; the book makes interesting, worthwhile browsing material. The author's black and white drawings boast a high degree of accuracy, and give a clear idea of the things being defined. However, the merits of the author's method of organization are questionable; the bizarre facts are presented in isolation, and only placed together in alphabetical order. If seen in context, the text might be more memorable.
