THREE SIDES OF AGIOCHOOK

The winner of the 1928 Newbery Award, now teaching at Dartmouth, writes in this his first fiction with an American background, and he has placed his story in and around Dartmouth, and the contiguous sections of New England. I found it more interesting reading than his Polish stories -- and it took me back to the thrill of Chambers' Cardigan, when young Brewster set out on his adventurous mission, to see Joseph Brant and to plead for his support in the swinging of the Indians to the side of the colonists in the impending war. Good adventure -- good historical background.
