LOCK HER THROUGH

A topnotch adventure story set against the background of upper New York state and the Eric Canal, in the days when the threatened competition of the railroad was still unaccepted, and when sharp practices and trickery were part of the stock-in-trade along the Canal. Sabby's father owned a coaching inn near the Canal but Sabby went afield for her excitements, picked up a new friend in an English towboy, and with the Sheriff's small son, the trio managed to capture the horse thieves that had eluded their elders.
