Rollicking story about how Joost, a little boy in old New Amsterdam, thought up a merry song about the noisy tinmaker, and how it ran through the town like wildfire. Even the Governor sang it, coming in with loud thumps of his peg-leg at the end of the chorus: ""Te-rattlety rattlety rattlety BANG!"" Music for the song is provided, gradually introduced a bar or so at a time as Joost makes up his song. Sprightly pictures. A zestful book that children will enjoy hugely.
