The wobbling twilight zone between the scorched half and the freezing half of the planet nearest the sun, energy endowed robots battle unintelligent Silicone beasts (silicon compounds being heat resistant) in a fight to give Earthmen some of the power they need to get away from Mercury. But the hotter things are the more improbable they become.
