KIRKUS REVIEW

There are sections from Stanley's autobiography; from Carlyle's French Revolution on Charlotte Corday; Columbus' cottage voyage to the new world, and Darwin's on the eagle; the classic Thierry on the Norman Conquest and John Paul Jones on a naval encounter during the Revolution; etc., etc. Almost all of the material is familiar, but then pere and fils address an undemanding audience that is radio-made.
