THE CASE OF THE HESITANT HOSTESS

Perry Mason on an assigned case, to defend Brogan of a hold-up charge, meets a wily opponent in Martha Lavina. He really fights all the way when a murder charge is added to Brogan's iniquities and with his fishing in examination, from little nibbles goes on to strikes. Gambling, the fine art of hostessing, drugs -- and Perry, Della and Paul are right there to unfix the fixes. Circuitous but sure.
