KIRKUS REVIEW

More of the same, as Perry Mason, ably abetted by Della Street and Paul Drake, juggles evidence, gambles on possibilities, plays on the narrow edge of law-breaking, and tumbles over on the right side with a neatly contrived confession in the nick of time. The story revolves around the murder of a gambler; three identical guns; three long-legged models (this really is of no importance); and a puss-in-the-corner kind of swap of romantic attachments.... For my money, I'd like to see Perry and Della married and retired. But the appetite for these patterned mysteries seems insatiable.
