Here is a book that will destroy conclusively any wishful thinking in the direction of feeling that Hitler is a phenomenon that will pass. Rather he is shown as the unconscious expression of the German psychosis, with roots deep in German tradition, and with history, philosophy and intellectualism indicating that the German today is too true to the past to be good for the rest of the world. Nazi intolerance is no passing phase. Concessions are hopeless. Germany must be opposed in the economic field, or she will achieve her dream of world conquest. The two most exciting and important chapters deal with the German Economic Drive and German Economic Militarism.
