In spite of its title, this is not a theologian's book, but a student's consideration of German history, affairs, politics, covering the background of events leading to the rise of Hitler and his threat to the world. With a basis of immediate issues, this goes further:-to the questions of Hitler versus God, the possibility of disaster to the world age of human relations, and as such explores the religious aspect of this war. He amplifies his exposition of the anti-Christian ambitions of Hitler's New Order, based on the murder of men's souls, by his own experiences in Germany opposing the Hitler regime. He advances proof that though Hitler has conquered he is not victor in German-dominated Europe. Though concerned with immediate factual material, this is still more a book for religious thinking in general.
