CHRISTIANITY AND THE FAMILY

In these, the Rauschenbusch Lectures delivered at Colgate, Dr. Groves, noted sociologist, brings out clearly the basic relation of the Christian home to the church. He believes we must have a deeper knowledge of psychology, sociology and sex to establish true unity and adjustment. The responsibility for this rests upon the clergy of our churches. As a model, he shows how Jesus placed great importance upon the family as a religious and social institution, an earthly counterpart of his relationship with God. A book which should be read outside the religious field, although it may not have as many readers as his previous books on sex and marriage.
