BIRDS OF THE SOUTHWEST PACIFIC

By

Pub Date: Sept. 15th, 1944
Publisher: Macmillan

Neturalists, museum curaters, ornithologists, and possibly some of the boys in the service who have been puzzled and interested in the birds of the Pacific area -- provide the market for this highly specialized book. Up to now, Alexander's Birds of the Ocean (Putnam) has been the only source of information on the subject. This treats of sea birds, shore birds, jungle birds as well. It follows established practice in definition of species, description of varieties, keys, etc. The material is divided first according to Ocean and Land birds; then geographically, Samo, Fiji, New Calendoni, New Hebride, Solomon, etc.
